The Troy University School of Accountancy is committed to providing students the accounting education required to enter the accounting profession and to pursue a successful professional career The Troy University School of Accountancy offers an undergraduate accounting curriculum that provides the foundation for entering the accounting profession in the public private or governmental area An undergraduate degree in accounting will also give you a strong foundation in business-related topics such as marketing finance and management Earning your degree in Accounting gives you flexibility in choosing employment or furthering your education If you choose immediate employment you will have the skills to obtain an entry-level position in a public private or governmental entity If you choose to further your education you will have the coursework necessary to enter graduate programs in accounting such as the Master of Accountancy As a TROY student you will have an opportunity to seek a paid internship at one of the many local regional and national firms or private company businesses and governmental agencies that recruit students from Troy University The internships generally begin in January and last approximately three months Importantly the internship program is part of the accounting curriculum so participation in the internship program does not delay graduation
